Pregnancy and Postpartum care

Pelvic floor physiotherapy is an essential aspect of pregnancy care, helping to support the body through the changes it undergoes. It can alleviate discomfort, improve posture, and enhance well-being during pregnancy. Pregnancy-related pain is common, but it isn’t something you have to live with. Our physiotherapists support you in managing pelvic, hip, and low back pain safely and effectively. By focusing on strengthening and relaxing the pelvic floor muscles, you can prepare for labour and promote a smoother recovery postpartum. We collaborate with you and your birthing partner to guide perineal massage, optimal birthing positions, effective pushing techniques and comfort measures tailored to each stage of labour.

Feeling unsure after your six-week postpartum visit? We’re here to help! We tailor your treatment plan to promote a safe return to daily activities & exercise while addressing common postpartum concerns such as leakage, diastasis rectus abdominis, muscle pain & weakness, pelvic pain, and scar recovery.
